Attempting to Blog

Well, I do love writing and I often think about things I would blog about if I did blog. So I am giving this a try.

I picked Justin up from the babysitter's today. I decided to make one stop at Kohl's to return something and then use my 15% off card. Shopping with Justin is entertaining, if not futile. While standing in the customer service line, Justin falls on the floor. "Get up off the floor!" I demand. "I stuck," he says and then grunts as if he's actually trying to get up, but can't. He giggles impishly. Other people in line are smiling.

After the return, I go to look at something to replace the item I returned. In the petite section he finds a mini-muffin pan and begins to play hide-and-seek with it. A long check-out line has formed and bends around the isle into the petite section. Justin's antics seem to entertain several of the customers in line. I want to move to a different isle, but Justin doesn't want to leave the muffin pan. I tell him he can take it with him. "Too heavy," he says. He figures out how to deal with this problem by picking up one end of the pan and pushing it along the carpet. "I pushing" he announces. More smiles from the people in line.

Now it's time for us to check out. The line is much shorter and Justin immediately finds the poles that hold the ribbons for the line. "Careful, you are going to fall," I warn him. His little body immediately plops onto to the floor and he giggles. He hops up and does the same thing to the next post, waiting for me to warn him that he will fall. This is how we get through line as this little game is repeated with each post. "It's our turn," I tell him when the clerk calls for us. He happily jumps up and follows me.
